Reuben, in a 4 year period I went through quite a few different feeds. I fed Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice for a while. Dogs were healthy and stools were firm. The problem was their skin was flaky and dry and their hair was very dull. I switched to Purina One Lamb and
Rice and their skin improved instantly. Only problem, I couldn't keep weight on them. Started feeding Diamond and that was a disaster.
I tried the High Energy and the Diamond Naturals Chicken & Rice. They had more crap in the pens than I ever seen and the pens stunk so
bad you couldn't stand it.  I didn't know what to try next. All of the above feeds were each tried over several months. I decided to give
TSC's  Retriever High Protein a try. It's been 7 months and so far so good. Minimal crap, no smell, and the dogs never looked better. Their
skin is good, their fur is extremely shiny and they are full of energy. I am also feeding less to maintain their weights. I really had low expectations of the Retriever brand when I started feeding it but it turned out good so far.
