That's a good thing that you have identified a possible problem. Heres my advice when it comes to a routine habit of "runnin hogs"

Take whichever dog is doing the main striking and leave all your other dogs at home. Let that dog strike the hog and see if one single dog can bring it to bay. If he does, sneak in their quietly as a churchmouse and send the catchdog or shoot that hog or whatever you do.

If he cant handle it, try  the same thing with the rest of your dogs individually and this should help to figure out if you've got running hogs or a sorry baybuster.
