A buddy and I did a whole 60# pig in the ground. We dug a hole and lined if with bricks with a 1/2" steel plate on top. We bought a sheet set from Walmart and washed them. We injected the pig with seasoning and wrapped the pig with a sheet then saturated the sheet with the same marinade. Stuck it in the hole and lit a good fire over it for maybe 12 to 15 hours (not sure we got to drinking by this point) but it turned out amazing... Or maybe we were all drunk... Lol. Good luck
