I'm over here in Gods country right now, thats right, South Louisiana!!!! Geaux Tigers!!!!! And due to a picture posted on Facebook by a sweet older lady whom I now have a food crush on, AND a recent conversation with that lo down dirty good for nothin, making me miss my MaMaws cooking, HWilson! I now find myself facing the horrible, wouldn't wish it on satan on a Sunday feeling that we fat southern boys refer to as "A Hankerin"
I am jones'n real hard for WHOLE fried Perch, HOT WATER CORNBREAD, and a flipping bucket of purple hull peas!!!!!!!! Unfortunately for this chubby buddy, I was more attracted to a pretty face and "lots of lung room"

than the old retired widow type that I shoulda bedded down with! Kidding kidding sort of. Anyway, my wife can't satisfy my need for southern fried wholesome goodness and my maMaw is livin in Tennesee now that Pawpaw has passed on, so I desperatly need your help!! I need you to eet delicious southern food and post pictures of it like food porn! If your really a good hearted person, I'll be home the rest of the week and you can have your mom or grandma bake me some buttermilk biscuits and pour on some ribbon cane syrup!!

I can't help it that your still thinking about our conversation from two weeks ago but boy howdy does some new potato soup sound good of how about some home made red berms and rice or what my great grandma calls mill gravy with squirrel and rabbit or some home mad hot tamales or some good ole fried back strap with some rice and gravy with some home made butter milk biscuits I hope your real hungry now your gonna have to frog me in both shoulders
Speaking of red beans and rice just ate a bowl earlier hunter, know how us Hemphill corn fed boys eat! red beans slow cooked in grandmas secret recipe.. With a pot of hot steamed white rice and of course some browned deer meat in with the beans after they first start to get soft... Can't forget the aroma of that cast iron homeade cornbread!!! Peaches were hand peeled boiled soaked and magically made homeade peach sweet tea!!! I was down for the count after two plates!
