Not really I guess what im trying to say is some dogs just dont have to be told get ahead and those that dont naturally leave out have to be made to and the dog thats made to get ahead never seem to get to far away from you in my experience I have had some that went out from day one and continued to get deeper . I had a dog that was a hog nut but he wanted the others to find it and him bay it and he would find a hog but I had to make him hunt and even then he was Med at best this has been my excperience dont mean to be confusing or discouraging if range is what you want. I believe some dogs are born with range but I think you can get a dog that hangs to hunt but they never seem to be good as the other. Wink
