the only reason they wont open the gun locker is bc the weapon was inspected at time of check in. how may times do they do a 100% baggage check at the the ck in desk? the airlines or HLS claim its for security, but its actualy profiling. even though i have an american white name, my bags still got searched bc i was coming from the middle east on a civilian int flt. everything thing that i mailed hm tht had a zip-tie or tsa lock, was opened, searched through and allowed to pass. even though they x-ray the stuff, if there is something in the bag that the bag cker wants, it will get pushed off to the side for an inspection for suspicous reasons, and thats all they have to say, "it was opened due to a suspicious looking object" and then ooops, you item in question must have been left out and was throwed away after shift. i had a bag opened when coming from korea and had a tube of shoe-goo and the cap miraculously  got unscrewed and the tube completely squeezed all over my pt gear and other military uniforms. i filed a claim and they said, sorry but there is nothing we will do bc it was a random bag search. i called my gaining unit and talked to the supply sgt and explained what happened and got an affidavit from tsa saying they wouldnt replace the items and i got a complete reissue, but it shouldnt have come to that. them tsa and airline jackwaggons are a bunch of thieves. same with the military postal service. i had several $1000s in tools stolen.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!
