We have a big ol' 10yr old spotted girl here named Thelma that is retired. Best damn dog I have ever had the pleasure of hunting with. She is a phenominal teacher as well to start pups. Only reason she's retired is that as of a year ago, she'll have a seizure while out on a hunt. ONLY happens when she's out workin and riled up.
Heck she even busted out her kennel one time to go bay the hogs we were keeping way at the back of our acreage in a pen, lol, I'll never forget that. If we get a litter off her before she passes, I'll be runnin one spotted dog myself.
