Check the wires going to the starter. See if they are really stiff if they are pinch with a pair of pliers softly and listen closely if it sounds like your squeezeing gravel you found your problem. The wires can develop corrosion on the inside that you don't see. Also ensure you have a good connection at the battery and that you have adequate charge

I am thinking something to do with the wireing and it not geting enough juice to make the starter kick out. I am no mechanic but if I remember correctly a starter will spin but engage if there is insufficient amps ?[/quote]
