it ia a bunch of hoekum so far . dna is used to verify individual dogs in the coonhound and registered breeds , but i think what he is asking is if dna will tell you what breed of dogs os in his mutts
lol . when they first started trying this dna breed identification it stirred up a bunch of mess i.e. when you had a poodle tested it would come back with rottwiler and other mutts in it , wich really it should because all the dogs have a base ancestor the wolf . the data base is not near large enough as of yet . when you try and find the dna origin of us humans we all each and everyone of can be traced back to central africa . so hello to all my brotha's out there lol .
