It's going to take 1 of 2 things.  Ideally a large united group of honest, well funded and well educated Americans who are backed by the public and willing to fight and push in a completely legal fashion for the rights of the country.  As Reuben said it may not be in the best immediate interest of the people but rather in the best long term interest of the country.  However, the people must first be able to accept this and make that personal sacrifice.  It's a long shot.  If all else fails a civil war may not be a terrible option...
