Charles, I have raised and hunted a few Dogo/Catahoula crosses.

If you want them to hunt with or like a cur dog, you should run them on the ground while they are young. I started running mine with some med range  dogs at about 6 months. The range, nose, and hardness of this cross depends greatly on the dogs used for the cross.

Mine have quite a bit of hunt, good nose, and are getting to be pretty solid catchers.
