I just started May 2012....hot times then, so I got conditioned to go late at night while cooled down. This has been my first winter, and I must say I had to swim when it was 40 degrees at 3 in the mornin(not fun, plus it was a pond that was about 10 ft deep and 30-40 yds wide) I learned then while watching from the other side of the pond with the spotlight how every minute counts. The 225lb boar was slingin our two dogs up off their feet, I was enjoying the show (like I was watchin TV) then looked next to me at my brother takin off his boots (they were his dogs gettin pounded)......then I realized this aint no edited TV show. I honestly almost drowned! Plus I understand- now that I have my own dogs - what a guy will do to help his dogs.
Here he is halfway in the pond still.

This is me trying to keep him from sliding back in the pond, COLD and WET! (pictures do no justice)

Also, I got for sarters a gyp YBMC (Bella, now 9 mths) that sure is turning out to be a great dog. I'm prob hooked on yella dogs over any other bcuz of her. Also, Machito (now 7 mths, a houndxcatxmt curxpit) that was given to me from a friend. He's doing ok, but the ybmc sure is makin him look bad in a few ways, but he will do. I will be happy if he lives to see 3 due to how rough he is. I think he is gonna make a good strike dog, so far he's got good hunt in him.

Now I need a good catch dog, I learned the hard way when they had a bay on a simple walk in the woods (7:30 pm) in my back yard. It turned out to be a 45 min hunt, by accident (go figure there were hogs 600 yds from my back door). I had no knife, gun, or a good catch dog. If I had a catch dog, I would have caught that sucker! Plus my wife would not answer her phone to bring me my 110 lb "over kill-loudmouth-out of breath" AB....I went to sleep a lil depressed. Now I'm needing to add a good catch dog and I will be a lil more of a hog dogger!
Here is PLAN C...Macho at 5 yrs.
