This is a subject that has came up alot in our circle. Have witnessed dogs that hunted like champs in the daylight only to be branded culls at night.

Our reckoning on it is perty basic. Feel that some dogs just have a better viewing perception at night than others.

Witnessed some that just booger bark at shadows. Just appear to have no clear night vision.

The other part we pondered is the different atmosphere that they are accustomed to and are comfortable in hunting. As everyone knows sounds,  smells, humidity, and sight perception are all slightly different from night to daytime.

Just a couple thoughts we have rolled around.
