I say bigger is better. You want to make sure the pups/dogs have room to maneuver, to get away from the hog. IMO you want a minimum of 50x50.
For smaller hogs 75 lbs or less, cattle panels (16' long 48" high I think) work well. I've seen larger hogs jump and climb out of a cattle panel pen with nothing above the panels.
It's easier to work the pigs if you have some type of seperation/holding pen and a entrance/exit chute.
