I love mine, but they have ups and downs. They start early, hunt hard and find pigs. They also have a little trouble in deep water, they are just short. Last week , my two had a boar bayed in the creek, he moved into deeper water, jagds took a second too long to get in front of him and he saw his chance and lit out. They get cold a little easier than big dogs. They will try to catch until the pig cuts em up and they decide to back off a hair. They also may not back off,,,, last weekend tennhillbilly came down and we had some long races, by the garmin, it looked like my jagd and his plotts would bay for 5-10 min then we figured the jagd was getting too mouthy and bustin the bay. Mine seem to work best with rough curs that will catch or if the jagd busts the bay, will help stop a runner quicker. Last, if you stop to talk strategy for a second, u better put jagds on leash, if they aint hunting, they are gonna start a scrap. But aint nothing like watching 4 or 5 of those lil piranhas working the woods.
