I here you on the luck of the draw. Back in the day....the Full Boar Bay pen would give you a free "turn out".
If the hog put in the pen didn't suite you...you turned him out...but HAD to take the next in line. I used that option many times. It paid off more than it hurt.
Some dogs score better on a soft hog...some need a hog that holds there attention. A rough dog would probably do better on a hog that sets up in a corner and is content to be bayed. Put that same dog on a green hog and he may catch out.
A great dog is going to score well on any hog but if your dog isnt just a jam up specimen....for a perfect score you need the stars to align just right, lol.
