I have seen some greyhound/pits that looked awesome and caught really well. I know a guy that use to run them exclusively in the 80's and would put 6-8 on the ground and just about catch any hog in the woods. That being said I think you almost have to go with a 3/4 pit 1/4 greyhound to get the frame of the dog strong enough. I have seen a 1/2 dogo 1/2 greyhound that looked awesome and caught really well, very big dog. Greyhounds have a light bone structure and the 50/50's end up with a lot of broken ribs etc. I would personally like to see a 3/4 ab 1/4 greyhound.
