I agree if you are looking for a good dog a good cur will do preferably a Catahoula

I have been using cat/ hound crosses since 2003 , and raised and sold several litters and surprisingly enough they all wound up being tight mouthed , until either looking at a hog or a busted bay . there were several that went on to become fine cow dogs as well . the reason I say use a good cur dog is just this , you still want the dogs to have a little of that livestock working instinct to remain in the offspring if you are going to hunt hogs with them .
