Them boars are just as good to eat if treated right. If they have been run hard you have to tie them and let them calm down for about eight hours then kill them while they are not all worked up. One thing an old man told me is cut the stick and berries out immediately after killing. Last thing is put the meat in a cooler with ice water and a quart or two of white vinegar. Let it soak for a couple days draining the water off daily and adding more ice. I did these steps on a rank smelling 260lb boar and the meat tasted store bought. Wink it works
