Joey, Plantersville is right on the edge of the piney woods. I've hunted all around there and most of it is pine plantation with thick, nasty underbrush. Good hog population, but just as many hog hunters... that whole area has been dogged heavily for many years. Lots of barr hogs in that country.
Now if you go west of there, towards Navasota, you get out of the pines and into some good cattle country... lots of hogs and a helluva lot easier to hunt.
