Pup may get killed first time out . No hog dog pup is worth that kinda money . If papered ! Well those papers dont help him any .

coon hunter...you make a good point...but if I liked the bloodline and the pups were hunting fairly well by 9 months then 1100 dollars is not that bad...especially if I were wanting to start breeding my own line of dogs...starting out with well bred pups from a long line of huntings dogs that are linebred/inbred that look right and hunt right will save lots of years of culling because someone else done paid for all that...just a little tweaking here and there to get the dogs how you like...it would  actually save lots of money in the long run...

even if not for breeding but just to hunt them and they turn out above average then it is worth it to me...

but getting back to the topic...I don't have enough details to decide one way or the other...so I gave examples as to what it would take for me to give 1100 dollars for 2 pups...
