Best brush gun for stalking I would say 45-70. That dude will shoot thru a sapling and still kill what ur shooting at. General purpose I use a 308 with 150gr HP Winchester. They work very well on hogs.

I'm a big fan of the 45-70! Ol 30-30 lever action has been one of the most used brush guns out there for years and years tho and will lay em down great as well. Shot placement is key with the smaller calibers. Few years back I shot a 255# boar quartering away right before he got in the thick brush and he ran like I never shot him. Ran 150 yards but finally ran out of air with no lungs
