are you hunting in woods or open land? swamps or thickets? im from beaumont tx and we have a little bit of everything, i can go to my deer lease and get o a 250-300lb hog that will only have 1 1/2 teeth at best due to the fact that pigs in the woods break their tusks on trees, roots etc etc..........if you took the same 300lb hog and put him in the rice fields in labelle he will grow 3 inch plus teeth........he has nothing to break them on. I dont think that it has anything to do with the maturity level of the hogs in your case. just my 2 cents.
