I've always caught hogs with big cutters in areas they have good food, what nutrients and minerals in the ground and blood line. Just like getting a deer to grow antlers. I have two places I hunt 5 miles from eachother one wide open pasture land with a couple orange groves and some oaks and most hogs have small teeth. Now the other place is a mining area(lots of minerals in the ground) I have caught 80 lbs. boars with 21/2" cutters those with tear a dog up quick. Just my 2 cents.
