I have a Hi-point 9MM and I'm happy with it, it's surprisingly accurate and functions perfectly.....but they aren't expensive, thus the bad ones folks get. One pistol that I don't believe has been mentioned is a Makarov 9X18. It's a smaller handgun that is from all I read, as tough as whet leather and as dependable as paying taxes. I've read a good bit about them and hardly anyone has a bad comment about them. Depending on who made it they range in price from $200-$400. I'm thinking seriously about trying one as a CC weapon. Ammo isn't hard to get from what I see......just another choice you might want to check on. Good luck.
I see these a bunch at the gun show. Theres been a dealer thats had cases of them for years. Every time i go they sell them anywhere from 75 to 150. never messed with one though.
