In most cases the smaller fish are harder to get than the bigger ones , the big ones about rip your arm off , I've been out for a while by a big one twisting my wrist really bad and have known people that's had there's broke , I use a fiberglass rod to feel with , they have a lot of feel and they come in two sizes , the same kind with the flag on it you would buy to put on a kids bike , rip the flag off , and leave the assembly part on , you can use this end to lay on the fish and slide him towards you , sometimes this works and sometimes not , a smaller fish is just harder , the big ones will let you move them or they will come to you , hooks are illegal here , hands on noodling act. , I've blocked the hole before and rammed the fish with my stick over and over until I pissed him off enought all he wanted was out and reached in and grabbed on deeper holes , that's the method I used when I took a blind man from California , that fish ate him up , I'd say you got it going on if your catching smaller fish , to me there alot more difficult than a big one
