Plus the fact that "hunt" is a trait that can be passed to offspring. Not all dogs pass all of their genetic traits to their pups. But you have a better chance if both dogs exhibit the traits that you desire.
You never know if they will pass their good hunting genes to their pups until you breed them and raise the pups. It takes a lot of time, money and work. Its nice to know that your chances are higher than just throwing to dogs together and hoping for the best.
