On my old lease in Sour Lake we marked a BUNCH. Boar became barrs and got a circle cut into their left ear and a 1/2 crop on their right as well as about 1/4 of their tail tipped off, sows got the same minus the barring 

Wish I still had places to do that but now days everywhere I hunt is catch and kill or don't come back
