Man I do all this talking about help dogs....just want to make sure....maybe some of the newer guys understand where I'm coming from.
I've said plenty of times I don't mind help dogs and that ill keep them on my yard.
That's a true statement...BUT...I will continue to try and improve the quality of dog I keep in my yard.
I KNOW exactly what I want my dogs to be and while I work towards that I will use what I have.
Eventually I will get to where I want to be, a number of dogs that fit my style perfectly...and still....even then....I will have dogs on my yard that I consider help dogs. These dogs could be someone else's number one dog or they may be considered a cull to another hunter. It's honestly all about what you want as an individual.
One thing that won't change is what I consider a help dog.
"Anything on the yard but the #1"
