It is not something they are trained to do. They do it because they want to. A good catch dog does not "attack" it simply grabs an ear and holds and allot of times doesnt leave a mark on the hog. Seems some people have a big misconception... When we catch hogs it is just fluffy pillows and rainbows not an attack on the poor helpless animal.
