When did hog hunting start using the dictionary and get technical?

You've got hog dogs, and then you've got culls...if you think you've got a good dog, hunt with a few people whose suppose to have good dogs and then pass judgement.  Here's a tip though, if it's a hog dog, people will brag on it for you, but if you are the only one crowing about your dog, well maybe it ain't.
