2 1/2 cc's of dexamethazone (spelling) along with 2 cc's of penicillin right when you noticed they been bit then every morning for the next 3 days my dogs will hardly swell up and they are good to go! I do not go to the woods with out dex! It great great stuff for snake bites

In the past I've had two dogs get bit and I only gave them penicillin. Whats dexamethazone?
Dexamethasone is used for anti-inflammatory. Some vets use it before and after surgery, along with antibiotics, to help healing and prevent infection. Its a corticosteroid. About 20 times stronger than the dogs natural cortisol produced by their adrenal glands.
