Define "genetic defect". When breeding, look at ALL attributes of the dogs involved. Look at all the negatives of the dogs involved. If , in your opinion, the positives outweigh the negatives enough that you think the puppy's will be an improvement over their parents, go for it. Ultimately, however, you have to consider also your name and reputation is riding on the pups you produce. High price to pay for producing sub par animals. Very rewarding when pups turn out well and people are very pleased with them
