4" hybrid flurry in key lime, avocado or the clear color on a 1/8th ounce jig head is my go to soft plastic year round on sabine....trout, reds and flounder all love em.

Or a texas tackle factory sand eel or paddle tail in morning glory, chicken on a chain or texas roach colors.....my box is FULL of soft plastics but we find our selves using those colors 95% of the time.

The hybrid flurry is the best soft plastic bait i have ever used saltwater wise.....i buy them 100 at a time and they get used! ......they are my number 1 confidence bait, if i throw one for 5-10 minutes without catching a fish, i move lol.

Just remember to match your bait to the hatch..... If you know the fish are there but you are only catching one occasionally try to figure out what they are feeding on and throw the closest sized/colored jig in your box at em, thats when it pays to have different sized plastics down to 2 or so inches.

If you are going to be pier fishing under lights i suggest you pick up some 2" shad colored little fishies and some 2" finesse minnows.......tandem rig them on a small 1/8 ounce crappie jig head.....alot of the time on sabine under the lights smaller works better.....
