When I see a "finished strike dog" for sale, I always wonder why some of the seller's hunting partners or neighbors in the area wouldn't buy the dog. I know of several dogs that could be sold today if the owner even mentioned selling, and the dog never would leave the county. I don't think you are going to buy a "rockstar" unless you buy him as a pup.

I have seen good dogs sold outside the circle because of the price. I'm sure the dog was worth the money, but no one in the circle could produce it, or they all had equally good dogs.
