Heats a big problem here.
Is he a fit dog? If so might be worth getting his heart checked.
Also we have found that after heatstroke they can be susceptible to a virus that attacks the kidneys. Make sure he's well hydrated and I would ease him back into it over the next month or so...Not to much work too soon. Our theory is that it gives the kidneys time to repair.
For heatstroke we carry either saline or hartmanns solutions (saline + glucose + water) use a 50cc syringe and inject the solution under the skin. It adsorbs quickly and can mean the difference between a dead and a live dog.....
