I used bleach and water on a javalina skull many years ago...left it in an ice chest and after 4 or 5 days I saw bone chipping off an that is when I removed it and I rinsed it and it bleached out nicely...

I have heard that hydrogen peroxide salon strength is good to bleach out skulls...
