why not? I tote my young pups on hunts with me all the time.........I don't turn em loose at a bay that young but its nice to get em accustomed to everything and be able to deal with/correct a 20lb dog instead of a knucklehead 60-70lb dog down the line......by the time mine are ready (or willing) to start running with the big dogs (6-8mths depending) they already have the obedience side of things down.....just makes it easier in my opinion
