Ya know Joel, that was a funny one too. For you folks that don't know WOW, he's from Washington state. He comes to Texas every year to hunt with us for a few weeks, not near long enough, good good people. Anyway, he brought a buddy with him named Richie one year. Now to at first glance one might get the impression that ol' Richie was a manly man. Traditionally we have the new hands stick or help tie the first hog on their first hunt. All is good till that first bay. Now I think our dogs have pretty loud mouths, but I didn't think loud enough to make the ground vibrate. I couldn't figure out what was going on. When I pulled the hog out of the briars for ol' Richie to stick, I turned around and told him to come on. After making for sure and certain several times over that I had control of this monster, he started easing up to me. This was a massive hog though, he had to be 100-125lbs if he was an ounce. Well the closer Richie got to me the harder the ground shook. Finally he puts one hand on my shoulder to lean over me with the knife in the other. He like to have rattled my teeth out of my head. Through my blurred vision I could tell he wasn't gonna hit the mark so I turned loose of the hog with one hand to grab his and guide him. It took a couple of tries but I finally caught his hand and dispatched the hog. After that he was the "JACK HAMMER".
