Can't say for all labs but the one I've hunted with was 50 yard dog at the most. She did stay some what busy but always could be found in a water hole. She would bay and try to get a little salty till she got bumpedd and that was it she was done for the rest of the day. There sure could be some good ones out there. But at the end of the day they were not bred to be large game dogs or bred to have high prey drive. There a retriever. To many other breeds of dogs to try on.
