I would like to see 1 in action before I would even think of purchasing anything not hand powered. I guess im used to the wet stone and steel and been doing it like that for over 25yrs, and can shave with it after im done, but it wont matter how good of an edge u put on the knife, if the knife wont hold it long, it wont matter, but if the blade is good quality, I wouldn't wanna take the chance on ruining the temper from something hauling a$$ across the blade, but like wayoutwest, said if u hold it there to long, it would over heat it. I guess im just old fashioned, Rueben, let me know how it turns out for ya
