22-250?

I didn't read all the replys, so this info might have already been covered. I am an avid varmint caller, and fur trapper. I own both calibers in a few different models. It's all about what you do man. If your shooting fur to sell, .204 is the way to go. The only major down fall is wind drift. .204 is like a super hot .17 or a super super hot .22 mag. I love it and very seldom go out without it. But with that being said, if your hunting in places where wind may be a problem, or you need a gun that'll get you out a little farther when you got a coyote that won't make the move, 22-250 is the route to go. I just always seem to loose money when I shoot with a 22-250 or .223. I like a littl lighter bullet. I would stick with 22-250 if your just a weekend predator hunter that might need to smoke down a hog every now and agin. Hope this helps. O and stick to model 700, can't beat them. Leopold now days are hurting in quality compared to what they used to be, I shoot kahels, and Zeiss. Always spend as much or more on the scope as you do the gun. That's always a good rule of thumb. A gun is not achieving its full potential if it can see what it's shooting at.
