I had the same idea in mind but never followed through. The one thing i can think of off the top that i think is pretty important is this, my rhino's bed gets HOT, i dont know if they are all like this but i know mine is, i would deff. Check on yours before you make any final decisions as to how you plan on building. I just cut to fit and dropped a 1/2 inch sheet of plywood into the bed of mine and it keeps the heat down pretty good.
