Got one made and gonna try it one night this week. I'll post my results when I go.
Sorry for the delay on posting my results for this but been tied up. Personally I have not got the range out of this antenna that I do the factory ones. BUT I know or have read that the length has to do with the frequency and I have not made mine any longer than the factory one. All of the aftermarket antennas that I am running are longer in length. I will try and make another one that is longer and see if that makes any difference.
On another note I am still running the one that I made several times a week and it is holding up with no signs of wear/tear.
