That's a tough call... I wouldn't side either way but simply hunting at night during deer season or not hunting at all would have solved this

If you hunt during daylight in deer season you had better make sure you dot all your i's and cross all your t's. I would have made sure everyone on the lease knew I was hunting that day, etc

How big of place were you hunting?
