Bryant I read somewhere that you are suppossed to seperate the momma dog from other dogs about 2 weeks before she is due, there is some kind of disease or parasite or something I can't remember what it was they can catch from other dogs that will kill the pups. I don't know if it's true or not, but I seperated mine and all the puppies lived except for one that was still born. I just left her in a well shaded kennel in a large dog box I built awile back.

But I've also heard of plenty of people leaving dogs around the momma dog and the pups being fine. But I take every precaution I can.
