The breeds dont mean much, there are culls and superstars in every breed.....well every working breed lol, cant say ive seen a superstar yorkie lol. Look at the particular lines of both dogs taking into account their individual strong points and weak points and go from there. a fella may have a good short ranged rough cat and a good long ranged loose bmc both out of established lines in their respective breeds and want his dogs more middle of the road and not worry much about the particular breeds but be more worried about making a better dog overall.
