It depends, you could put a 55 gallon drum in the ground for a tank ( cut the bottom out and drill a bunch of holes throughout the sides and fill the bottom with rock) and then go to your Home Depot or lowes and purchase the drain field material....prolly a couple hundred bucks depending on how many and how long of lines you put in or if you go through a septic company and purchase a concrete tank and have them run your lines cost, a few thousand. I have a 1050 gallon concrete tank and 440 sf of drain field. It will run a 4000sf home. Luckily for me I grew around a septic company too and it cost me nothing
