I honestly don't see how one could hunt without them or some kind of tracking system now days. About 5 out of 10 hunts dogs come bayed and we can't even think about hearing them due to the distance or just the wind. I don't think I would have many dogs left without it.
used to be blowing the horn most the night...hollering in all directions until I was hoarse...then the tracking system got popular and at least I knew which direction to walk and holler...I am a little behind but I am starting to like my second hand 220...
