I think the question he was asking is if anybody has made the cross and how'd it work, not about not enough culling and scrappy dogs being sold and so on..... Just trying to get it back to what the gentleman was asking... Might take some of the mouth and nose out of the cross.
you are right...if both dogs are really good at what they do then the pups have a chance to make decent to great dogs with a few culls in the litter...it is up to the owner to select the best pups for hunting and not just for looks...
